12415 Madison (near the 5 & Dime) Lakewood, Ohio.
Okay neighborhood diner (good neighborhood). Storefront—nothing special.

This place used to be right up near the end of our street when we lived on Lakewood Ave. Actually it's still there, still going strong. I have to agree though, unfortunately, it's also still "nothing special." Not all that clean-seeming, nothing special at all about the food.. The workers all seemed to know the regular customers there, which really gave it a very kind of homey atmosphere - I really almost felt like I was eating breakfast in someone's kitchen or something, which maybe is kind of special in its own way. The food was just nothing at all to write home about. Maybe if I lived like next door to it or something, I'd feel more inclined to eat there sometimes.

I'm glad to hear that place is still there! I mean, just because it's nice that something stays the same. I mean, I'm glad that it didn't get "Walgreened." I don't remember it AT ALL-- it's a good thing I had my notes. Anyway, sometimes in a place like that you really need to be a regular and go there day after day for a LONG time before the place reveals its hidden charms.
