12009 Detroit, Lakewood, OH.
Walking distance—counter/booths—good waitresses—Greek storefront diner. Breakfast specials: 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, home fries, coffee, tax: $3.05. Okay prices, but puny pancakes, puny eggs.

This was, I think, the very first place I ate after moving back to Lakewood in Nov. 2002. I had a ham & cheese omelette, and it filled me up for the entire rest of the day - incredibly filling somehow. We used to eat there fairly regularly when we lived up off of Newman Ave, around the corner from it, but the food always really seemed a bit on the mediocre side really. But it's cheap, and the Greek family that runs it is really really nice, and it always has a really nice atmosphere in the mornings, which I have to say makes up a lot for the somewhat average food. I haven't eaten here in quite a while, but maybe sometime I'll stop back in.
